About me

I am a chartered psychologist and cognitive behavioural psychotherapist, working in Chelmsford, Essex. I offer appointments either face-to-face or online, using CBT to treat a wide range of psychological difficulties. CBT is an evidence-based, highly personalised treatment tailored to your specific difficulties, circumstances and lifestyle.
I work with self-referring, self-funded clients and I am also registered with the major private health insurance companies, including Bupa, AXA/PPP and Aviva.

I work with children aged 7 and over, adolescents and adults. While I work with a broad variety of difficulties, I specialise in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorders and anxiety disorders.
I am a fully qualified cognitive behavioural psychotherapist, accredited with the British Association for Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapies, and a chartered member of the British Psychological Society.
I have a master's degree in psychology and a PhD in developmental neuroscience along with a postgraduate diploma in cognitive behavioural therapy. When developing treatment plans, I combine my clinical training with psychology knowledge and research.
I am especially interested in interoception, the internal sensations that help us to know how we feel, both physically and emotionally. Interoception is strongly related to our individual experience of anxiety, as well as to our general health and wellbeing.
I am experienced in working with the following difficulties:

OCD, emetophobia, body dysmorphia, tics, PANDAS, anxiety, phobias, panic, trauma, depression, difficulties associated with menopause and peri-menopause, school related difficulties, social difficulties.
I adapt my work to individual needs such as age or neurodivergence, frequently working with those who are autistic and/or have ADHD.
